concierge Services & companion Care

Our Approach

We take a personalized approach to meeting your needs or those of your loved one.  We take the time to understand your unique preferences, lifestyle and requirements to assist you with tasks around the home and beyond. 

What is an Elder Concierge?

We perform a variety of roles related to caring for older adults, those with special needs and busy individuals.  Think of us as your very own personal Heath Care Coordinator, Assistant, Companion, Home Manager & Advocate.

Health Care Coordinator

  •  Meal preparation and planning
  • Accompany client to medical appointments
  • Provide detailed notes to family members on changes to family member’s health (physical, emotional, cognitive)
  • Communicate instructions to care team
  • Follow ups calls with pharmacy and doctors when necessary

Personal Assistant

  • Personal shopping including groceries, clothing and housewares
  • Ensure a sufficient supply of essentials is maintained: prepared meals, cleaning supplies, toiletries and incontinence supplies 
  • Schedule appointments (in home and in community): medical, dental, salon
  • Book transportation: WheelTrans, Accessible Taxi, Uber

Companion

  •  Accompany to community activities and outings
  • Walks in the neighbourhood
  • Engage in conversation
  • Reading
  • Writing letters
  • Playing cards or board games
  • Sign up for community resources – library programs
  • Maintain knowledge of personal preferences and suggest aligned activities

Home Manager

  •  Technology assistance (e.g. internet navigation, writing emails or texts, computer help)
  • Trouble shoot phone, cable and internet, help place calls with service providers for maintenance 
  • Routine tidying/straightening up of the home
  • Identify any maintenance required in the home and coordinate and schedule repairs (i.e. submitting work orders with the building management)
  • Schedule lawn care and snow removal
  • Arrange for cleaning services

Advocate

  • Advocate for needs: contacting Ontario Health at Home, requesting services such as Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, PSWs, Nurses
  • Identify any potential heath and safety concerns that need to be addressed, bring in care partners
  • Help submit applications for community programs
